  18. "Dirigible" is a general term for airships.  The word's original meaning,
  19. "steerable" (from the same Latin root as "direction"), makes a distinction 
  20. from balloons, which go wherever the wind takes them.

  22. A blimp is a non-rigid airship (or dirigible).  Its shape is maintained
  23. solely by gas pressure.

  25. Zeppelins are rigid--they have an internal framework.

  27. Smoothing ON for blimps, OFF for zeppelins.
